BASF Automotive Refinish Names Employee, Salesperson of the Year

Richard Oster took home the 2015 North America Employee of the Year award, and Robert Alvarado was named 2015 North America Salesperson of the Year at the first annual Coatings Impact Awards presentation in Whitehouse, Ohio.

BASF’s Automotive Refinish Business announced it has named Richard Oster the 2015 North America Employee of the Year and Robert Alvarado 2015 North America Salesperson of the Year. The awards were presented at the first annual Coatings Impact Awards presentation in Whitehouse, Ohio.

Oster, strategic account manager, was recognized for not only exceeding his sales goals but also for his commitment to the business and serving as a role model and mentor.

“Rich is one of those go-to employees who gets things done,” said Paul Whittleston, BASF vice president, Automotive Refinish in North America. “He’s the first person to volunteer, and he’s always willing to try new ideas and propose solutions to problems.”

Alvarado, sales account representative, was recognized for driving growth and market share.

“Robert exemplifies an entrepreneurial spirit,” said Whittleston. “He’s a strong communicator and works closely with the extended sales team and our distribution partners to achieve outstanding results.

“In order for our business to exceed, we need to perform on the highest level in every function. Both Rich and Robert are the epitome of high-performing employees.”
