The Women’s Industry Network (WIN), in conjunction with the Collision Repair Education Foundation, has announced the launch of a campaign to create an awareness poster to showcase the many roles of women in the industry. The poster will be distributed to more than 1,100 high school and college collision school programs across the country this fall.
Businesses and members of the industry are invited to submit creative photos of the women in their workforce and the roles they perform. Winners will be selected based on photo quality, creativity and representation of the role performed.
As an added incentive, WIN is offering a drawing for a free 2014 WIN Educational Conference registration, valued at more than $400. Each person who submits a photo will receive one entry into the contest. In addition, every business that submits a photo will receive a free poster.
"WIN’s mission is to enhance the collision repair industry and the role of women within it," said Ruth Weniger, chair of WIN’s communications committee. "With this poster, we hope to illustrate to female students all the roles and paths open to them in the collision repair industry. We are thrilled to work with the Collision Repair Education Foundation on this exciting new awareness campaign."
