Assured Performance Adds American Honda Recognition Program

Assured Performance has announced that American Honda’s ProFirst body shop recognition program has been added as an available option for its Assured Performance Certified Collision Care Providers (www.CertifyMyShop.com). Nearly all of the body shops that are certified under the Assured Performance requirements can qualify for the additional recognition provided by Honda’s new program. Both programs promote the correct, complete and safe repair of vehicles and provide support to shops that have demonstrated a commitment to a high level of customer care and satisfaction.

To enroll in ProFirst, shops need to:

  • Visit profirst.honda.com.
  • Conduct a minimum number of transactions using OEConnection’s CollisionLink software.
  • Meet I-CAR Gold standards.
  • Complete a Honda/Acura-specific class conducted by I-CAR (HON01).

Qualifying ProFirst shops receive a handsome plaque suitable for public display, a place on the shop-locator tool at collision.honda.com, free access to the Honda and Acura parts catalog, and free access to Honda and Acura service and repair information.

"Our aim is to allow shops to be certified once, and recognized by many," stated Scott Biggs, CEO of Assured Performance. "We want to ensure consumers are able to locate repairers that have the right tools, equipment, training and facilities to repair vehicles to manufacturer’s specifications."

Leigh Guarnieri, national wholesale parts marketing manager for American Honda, added, "ProFirst’s body shop recognition program and Assured Performance Certification are complimentary programs with the same objective. This avoids redundancy and duplication of effort while exponentially increasing the positive impact for the shops marketing with multiple recognitions."

Assured Performance already includes recognition by Chrysler, Enterprise, CARFAX and a Genuine Repair Provider status from General Motors.
