The Collision Industry Electronic Commerce Association (CIECA) has announced that its newly formed Scheduling Committee will host a webinar Tuesday, Aug. 13 from 11 to 12 p.m. CDT.
The scope of the Committee’s work includes appointments for independent appraisal services, repairers, tow facilities, car rental agencies, fleet companies, salvors and vehicle owners in expediting the scheduling of services.
The webinar will discuss the Committee’s work flow and messages. The first scheduling messages will be ready for 2013R2, along with the associated codes. A recap of them will be provided in advance of 2013R2.
"Consumers demand a more convenient process when scheduling appointments, repairs and related activities," said a Committee spokesperson. "Setting standards is the first step toward this goal. As such, there is a team that is developing a mobile application, which will be noted in the presentation."
