Structural Repair Standards Open Discussion to Take Place at CIC

Meeting, which will take place Thursday, Jan. 16 from 6 to 8 a.m., will discuss structural repair procedures.

The Repair Standards Working Group will host an open group discussion alongside the Collision Industry Conference (CIC) meeting in Palm Springs, Calif., at the Hilton Palm Springs on Thursday, Jan. 16 from 6 to 8 a.m. in the Executive Boardroom – First Floor. All interested parties are welcome to attend.

The Repair Standards Working Group is made up of industry professionals and past participants of the former CIC Standards Committee. The objective of this meeting is to discuss gaps in structural repair standards within all industry segments.

“One of the single biggest issues confronting our industry today is structural repair ‘gaps,’" said Paul Krauss, president of Craftsman Auto Body. "’Gaps’ is a term used to describe where the manufacturer may not have documented a specific procedure on a structural repair or replacement. Our goal for this meeting is to have an open discussion regarding these gaps within all affected segments. Given today’s highly sophisticated vehicles, repair facilities must have access to rock solid structural procedures.”
