Valspar Revamps DeBeer Refinish Look

Valspar Automotive has announced a new look for the DeBeer Refinish brand. Customers will begin to receive products with new labels starting in September.

The DeBeer Bear is moving forward as a symbol of DeBeer’s coatings and color technology. The restyled product labels display a deeper chroma and are color-coded by product type.

The new look will be on display at the Valspar Automotive booths at SEMA, 23513 in the Central Hall and 11066 in the North Hall.

“We are very excited to announce this refreshment of our brand,” said Gerard Oldenhof, global marketing director, Valspar Automotive. “The DeBeer Bear has long been a reliable image in the automotive industry. We wanted to honor our heritage but look forward towards the future.”

The Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) announced it is offering the 2024 edition of its popular Lifting Points Guide, "Vehicle Lifting Points for Frame Engaging Lifts," for the first time as a digital product or bundle of print and digital.

One of the most important steps when using a frame-engaging car lift like a two-post lift is to position the lift adapters only at the OEM-recommended lifting points. Failing to follow this guidance and instead guessing where to position the adapters may result in the vehicle getting damaged or falling from the lift.
