I-CAR Announces SEMA Professional Development Program Schedule

I-­CAR has announced that it will offer 11 Professional Development Program (PDP) training courses at SEMA 2014 in Las Vegas Nov. 4 through Nov. 7. PDP training options for SEMA attendees will deliver some of I-­CAR’s newest courses, including Aluminum Exterior Panel Repair and Replacement (APR01).

APR01 opened to the industry on Aug. 25 and provides in-­depth information on the array of considerations to take into account when making repair decisions on aluminum panels. This course is relevant to proper repair of vehicles featuring aluminum exterior panels, which are becoming more prevalent due to the advancements in vehicle lightweighting.

In addition to the Aluminum Panel Repair and Replacement course, I-­CAR will offer a variety of new and popular courses to help support shops achieving or maintaining Gold Class recognition.

Tuesday, Nov. 4

8 a.m. – noon | Plastic and Composite Repair (PLA03)
1 p.m. – 5 p.m. | Aluminum-Intensive Vehicle Repairs (ALI01)

Wednesday, Nov. 5

8 a.m. – noon | Squeeze­‐Type Resistance Spot Welding (WCS04)
8 a.m. – noon | Vehicle Technology and Trends 2015 (NEW15) – Premiering at SEMA
1 p.m. – 5 p.m. | Sectioning of Steel Unitized Structures (SPS11)
1 p.m. – 5 p.m. | Welded and Adhesively Bonded Panel Replacement (EXT02) – Newly Updated

Thursday, Nov. 6

8 a.m. – noon | Advanced Steering and Suspension Systems Damage Analysis (DAM15)
8 a.m. – noon | Adhesive Bonding (ADH01)
1 p.m. – 5 p.m. | Vehicle Technology and Trends 2015 (NEW15) – Premiering at SEMA

Friday, Nov. 7
8 a.m. – noon | Full­‐Frame Partial Replacement (FFR01)
8 a.m. – noon | Aluminum Exterior Panel and Replacement (APR01) – New Course
