WIN Increases Presence at NACE | CARS, Sees Membership Growth

Sixteen member volunteers were at the show staffing the WIN booth, signing up new members and supporting various pop-up events that were announced via WIN’s social media channels throughout the show.

The Women’s Industry Network announced that members, sponsors and supporters were a “dominant” force at the NACE | CARS Expo & Conference held July 21-25 at the COBO Center in Detroit.

Sixteen member volunteers were on hand to staff the WIN booth, sign up new members and support various pop-up events that were announced via WIN’s social media channels throughout the show. Both men and women from the industry took advantage of the NACE | CARS membership special that was offered, which allowed them to join the organization for both the remainder of 2015 and 2016 at a special rate.

In addition to being an exhibitor on the show floor, WIN was represented at events throughout the week including the National Auto Body Council meeting, Collision Industry Conference, Automotive Management Institute’s Celebration of Excellence, Enterprise reception and Collision Repair Education Foundation Golf Fundraiser.

“It was encouraging to see the strong attendance of WIN members at NACE | CARS 2015 as well as the industry support we received,” said WIN Outreach Committee Co-Chair Marie Peevy. “WIN continues to play a significant role in promoting and highlighting the important contributions women provide to our industry.”

To continue the momentum built at NACE | CARS, WIN will be present at several major events during the remainder of 2015 including the Collision Repair Education Foundation’s Cars, Careers & Celebrities Event, the SEMA Show and numerous corporate conferences.

“Industry awareness of WIN programs and scholarship activities is increasing as we are being invited to participate in various trade shows and industry functions,” said Michelle Sullivan, Outreach Committee co-chair. “As the role of women in the collision repair industry grows, so does our WIN platform.”
