Matrix Automotive Finishes Calling for 2017 Calendar Entries

Matrix Automotive Finishes Calling for 2017 Calendar Entries

Projects will be judged on finish quality, technical difficulty, design originality and artistic merit. Entries will be judged by a committee of automotive color and refinishing experts.

Matrix Automotive Finishes, a brand of Valspar Automotive, is looking for projects finished exclusively in Matrix colors to feature in the coating brand’s 2017 calendar, “Award Winning Finishes.”

The calendar contest is open to classic and custom cars, street rods, trucks, race cars, compact imports, motorcycles, airplanes and boats – “anything finished in Matrix paint,” said Laura Yerkey, director of marketing, Valspar Automotive. “This calendar is an opportunity to show your creative side with our product.”

Contest rules require that the project must be finished entirely in Matrix brand products, and the person submitting the entry has to be the person who did the work. “It doesn’t matter if you’re a professional painter working in the industry or if you’re painting cars as a hobby in your own garage. Anyone who has created an amazing custom paint job with Matrix products should send us pictures.”

Projects will be judged on finish quality, technical difficulty, design originality and artistic merit. Entries will be judged by a committee of automotive color and refinishing experts.

The first-place winner will have his or her project showcased in the calendar and receive $1,000 in Matrix Automotive Finishes products. The second and third place winners will also be featured in the calendar and receive prize packages of $500 and $250, respectively, in Matrix products.

To enter the 2017 Calendar Contest and for official contest rules and regulations, visit http://matrixsystem.com/news.php. The contest closes at 11:59 p.m. on September 15, 2016.

Winners will be announced on November 1, 2016, on http://matrixsystem.com and on social media channels.
