I-CAR Launches Quarterly Collision Repair Publication

The new publication “is designed to bring clarity and confidence during the sweeping, robust industry changes underway with relevant, timely information on the people, programs, issues and opportunities driving these transitions,” I-CAR said.

I-CAR announced the debut of Collision Reporter, a quarterly publication designed to help readers navigate the rapid changes happening within North America’s collision repair industry.

The new publication, available in digital and print editions, “is designed to bring clarity and confidence during the sweeping, robust industry changes underway with relevant, timely information on the people, programs, issues and opportunities driving these transitions,” I-CAR said in a news release.

The theme of the inaugural 20-page edition is diagnostics, I-CAR added.

“Collision Reporter is a reflection of I-CAR’s ultimate vision of providing information and knowledge that supports complete, safe and quality repairs for the ultimate benefit of the customer,” said I-CAR CEO and President John Van Alstyne.

Stories featured in the inaugural issue include:

  • An exclusive industry-leader panel discussion on diagnostics – one of the most pressing topics of the day – with candid perspectives from Mike Anderson (Collision Advice), Gerry Poirier (Farmers Insurance) and Jake Rodenroth (asTech)
  • Insights from Aaron Schulenburg, executive director of the Society of Collision Repair Specialists
  • Education and training news from I-CAR, including the debut of in-shop knowledge assessments and national scheduling

“Within these pages you’ll find valuable information and perspectives providing better insights into the opportunities and challenges facing the collision repair industry,” Van Alstyne said. “You’ll also learn how others are leveraging education and knowledge to drive their businesses successfully into the future. Lastly, we hope to keep you abreast of what I-CAR is doing to equip the collision repair industry with the technical training, information and related services that contribute to complete, safe and quality repairs, and that also optimize business performance, reduce risk, provide career development pathways and advance industry professionalism.”
