Automotive Service Association Opposes Vehicle-Inspection Bills in West Virginia, New Hampshire

West Virginia Sen. Robert Karnes recently introduced a bill that would repeal the state’s vehicle-safety inspection program.

If Senate Bill 90 passes, the state no longer would require an annual inspection of motor vehicles.

In New Hampshire, Rep. Glen Dickey introduced a bill (House Bill 1328) that would change the annual inspection requirement to every two years.

“Those bills are the latest in a recent series of legislation designed to dismantle or weaken a state’s safety inspection program,” the Automotive Service Association (ASA) said in a news release. “ASA opposes both SB 90 and HB 1328.”

Crash Champions has announced the successful acquisition of three local repair centers in Great Falls, Mont.: Mitchells’ Crash Repair, Flawless Auto Body and 3 Way Auto Body. The three local repair centers transitioned operations to Crash Champions effective April 22.
