They say everything is bigger in Texas, and the Auto Body Association of Texas (ABAT) promises that its second annual ABAT Skeet Tournament will be “bigger and badder than ever.”

“Join us for fun, food and prizes as we mix and mingle, both shop manager and vendor alike,” ABAT says on its website.

The tournament will take place May 19 at Elm Fork Shooting Sports in Dallas. Registration starts at 10:30 a.m.

No experience is necessary, ABAT says. Attendees can “aim to win” or just “shoot the breeze.”

Registration is $2,000 for a team of four shooters. A limited number of single-player spots will be available for $500.

The entry fee includes lunch, eye and ear protection, a golf cart and a scorekeeper. Top shooters can win “a beautiful mantle-worthy gun” and, more importantly, bragging rights. The association also assures members that the event will include “cold beer and thousands of dollars in door prizes.”

All guns must have a 21-inch or longer barrel. No sawed-off or pistol-grip guns will be allowed.

For more information and to register, visit the ABAT website.
