The Washington Metropolitan Auto Body Association (WMABA) is gearing up for its 2013 annual golf outing, which raises funds for the Jerry Dalton Memorial Education Fund, as well as the nationally recognized March Taylor Education Fund. BASF will be the 2013 major sponsor of the outing, which will feature a special memorial to John A. Mattos, a longtime WMABA member and supporter who passed away in February.
"We are happy to announce that we have secured our headline sponsorship ahead of schedule for the sixth year in a row," said Jordan Hendler, executive director for WMABA. "With BASF as our major sponsor this year, we know that with the special memorial to John A. Mattos, this outing will be even better than before. It is really an honor to have worked with John so much in the past, and I hope that we can capture some of his enthusiasm at the event."
Added Matthew Shaffer, account representative for BASF, "BASF has outstanding partners in many collision centers and distributors in the Washington Metropolitan region. We appreciate all the business we receive and feel strongly in supporting our end user customers and distributors. John Mattos was a valued partner of BASF and of the collision industry. The strong support that the Mattos family has brought to this industry makes BASF proud to have them as a partner, and is very proud to sponsor the WMABA Golf Outing in the good name of John Mattos."
