CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts has named Dean Fisher vice president of service and operations for the United States.
Fisher, owner of CARSTAR Yorkville in Yorkville, Ill., and the 2012 CARSTAR Franchisee of the Year award winner, will lead CARSTAR’s field service team, helping store owners maximize growth and profitability, managing store operations, overseeing store integration, leading the financial focus groups in the store markets and guiding the store owners’ business groups around the country. He also will oversee CARSTAR’s corporate-owned CARSTAR Metcalf location in Stilwell, Kan., which serves as the company’s R&D facility.
A longtime entrepreneur, Fisher has owned multiple automotive-related companies for 36 years. He joined CARSTAR in 1990, and is widely recognized as a top operator in the CARSTAR network. He has served as chairman of the Chicagoland Business Group twice and has been a board member for 16 years. He has served on CARSTAR’s operation, insurance and marketing committees, and has been a member of the CARSTAR Advisory Board twice, including serving as vice-chair in 2011.
Fisher and CARSTAR Yorkville have received numerous awards for their service excellence, professional image in the industry and facility. His commitment to improving his business through ongoing staff education and I-CAR Gold class certification has helped him deliver excellent customer service for nearly four decades. Fisher’s son, Justin, will take over the CARSTAR Yorkville operation.
Fisher’s key focus will be helping store owners deliver excellent customer service and CSI ratings, consistently meet KPI targets, improve the financial performance of their business, and effectively market their services to consumers and insurance agents.
“We are thrilled to bring Dean Fisher onto our corporate leadership team,” said David Byers, CARSTAR CEO. “No one has better experience and expertise in managing a CARSTAR store than one of the best store operators in the CARSTAR network. He will be an incredible asset for all of our store owners in building their businesses and guiding the growth of the CARSTAR organization overall.”
Fisher will officially assume his role on April 1, 2013, reporting to Byers.
Stacy Bartnik, who has led the field service team for seven years, will be leaving CARSTAR to pursue other opportunities.
