Church Brothers Collects 3,400 Pounds of Food During Pet Food Drive

More than 3,400 pounds of food, both bagged and canned, were collected at the recent “Stock the Pantry” Night during the Butler vs. Duquesne men’s basketball game at Butler University’s Hinkle Fieldhouse. The food was contributed not only by fans attending the game, but by animal welfare advocates, both on- and off-campus, who brought food to the fieldhouse prior to game night.

Stock the Pantry is sponsored by the Butler Bulldogs basketball team, mascots Blue II and Blue III, Holistic Select Pet Foods and Church Brothers Collision Repair. The inaugural drive in 2012 resulted in more than 2,400 pounds of pet food collected for IACC. Again this year, Holistic Select provided a significant kick-start to the campaign by donating nearly 1,400 pounds.

“We are very proud to be part of this annual drive, and are grateful to all of the people and organizations who contribute to its success,” said Ted McClintic, president of Church Brothers Collision Repair. “Our goal was to top last year’s number by at least 1,000 pounds, and we did it. We’ll be looking to add another 1,000 pounds, minimum, in 2014.”
