Glass Mechanix Solutions to Host ‘Perfect Repair Challenge’ at ASRW 2013

Showgoers can win a variety of prizes by repairing windshield damage on the show floor.

Automotive Service & Repair Week (ASRW) will host Glass Mechanix Solutions’ Perfect Repair Challenge this year – an event that invites showgoers to repair windshield damage. ASRW will take place Thursday and Friday, Oct. 17-18, with education beginning Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

Glass Mechanix, a new exhibitor at ASRW, offers business owners and automotive industry leaders access to more than 40 years of windshield repair and replacement experience.

The Glass Mechanix team will have a scorecard for each break,
quantifying the difficulty of the damage and the quality of the repair.
Customer interaction, education about the process and time will also
play a small, subjective role during the judging process. At the
conclusion of the show on Friday, Oct. 18, Glass Mechanix will announce
the winners of the challenge. The first place winner will receive a
Daytona Repair System ($800 value); the second place winner will receive
a Glass Mechanix gift certificate for $100 and an iPod; and the third
prize winner will receive a Glass Mechanix gift certificate for $100.

To participate, attendees must register here or email [email protected].

In addition, attendees will have access to hands-on repair training and coaching on
the show floor; information and support in setting up their shops with
insurance networks for processing windshield repair/glass claims; a free
technician certification class; and unlimited support from the Glass
Mechanix executive team.

“Glass Mechanix Solutions is privileged to work with ASRW in their joint efforts to improve the quality of automotive services," said Josh McCooey, Glass Mechanix Solutions COO. "The ASRW attendees are professionals who take pride in their work. We hope to help them add windshield repair revenue to their business, maintain a high level of quality repairs performed across the nation, and build long-lasting relationships that go beyond equipment or resin sales."

Added Dan Risley, ASA executive director, “Providing complimentary education, training and certification to assist shops in diversifying their offerings is a huge benefit we are grateful to provide to ASRW attendees, and we encourage everyone to take advantage of this free on-floor opportunity.”

In addition, all ASRW attendees can receive the following show special discounts from Glass Mechanix:

  • $100 off the purchase of a repair system and an additional $100 in store credit for glassmechanix.com purchases
  • Free ROLAGS/GMS certification ($200 value)
  • Eighty percent discount on insurance network setup and processing ($400 value)
