Hire Our Heroes Calendar Fundraiser Raises $100,000 in January

The Hire Our Heroes program provides scholarships and tool grants to military veterans and their family members who are studying collision repair.

Collision-Repair-Education-Foundation-logoThe new Hire Our Heroes Calendar fundraiser, coordinated through 3M Automotive Aftermarket Division (AAD) and the Collision Repair Education Foundation, has started off the year on a strong note with over $100,000 raised in January. The Hire Our Heroes program provides scholarships and tool grants to military veterans and their family members who are studying collision repair.

Repair facilities that donate $200 to the foundation’s 3M Hire Our Heroes program “not only support a worthy cause, helping America’s veterans train for careers in collision repair, they receive a patriotic calendar that contains offers worth approximately $1,800 in no-cost 3M products, as well as a decal to show their support.” Donations will be accepted through February, with the goal of raising over $250,000 for the 3M Hire Our Heroes fund at the Education Foundation. Repair facilities and other industry members are encouraged to support the program through a $200 donation. Monthly offers for the first two months will be honored through February.

“Our goal is to raise over $250,000 and we are off to a good start, having begun the campaign on Jan. 4th,” said Dale Ross, U.S. marketing operations manager at 3M AAD. “There is still time for anyone interested in helping this great cause and getting huge savings on 3M products to contribute.”
