MetLife Earns I-CAR Gold Class Professionals Business Designation

Through earning the designation, MetLife Auto & Home has demonstrated its commitment to training and professional development and is now part of a group of six insurance providers to have earned this designation, according to I-CAR.

I-CAR announced that insurance provider MetLife Auto & Home has earned the I-CAR Gold Class Professionals business designation. Through earning the designation, MetLife Auto & Home has demonstrated its commitment to training and professional development and is now part of a group of six insurance providers to have earned this designation, according to I-CAR.

John Van Alstyne, I-CAR CEO and president, said, "As vehicle technology continues to advance and become more complex, specialized training becomes even more imperative. Through the recent designation as an I-CAR Gold Class Professionals business, MetLife Auto & Home is ensuring its staff is educated in their roles as insurance professionals, positioning them to consistently provide their customers with accurate claims and high quality customer service."

For more than 30 years, I-CAR says it has served the inter-industry with technical education, helping to ensure that insurance professionals are equipped with the skills needed to provide their customers with the most accurate claim service available. MetLife Auto & Home, as an I-CAR Gold Class Professionals organization, will have the ability to improve its customer service index (CSI) scores, enable collision repair facilities to incur fewer repair mistakes and improve overall operational efficiencies, according to I-CAR.

Mike Convery, chief claim officer at MetLife Auto & Home, said, "In a continued effort to develop our staff at MetLife Auto & Home, we find the I-CAR Gold Class Professionals designation, as well as the organized and sequential training path required to achieve the designation, valuable to our organization and the industry that we serve. The content found in the training courses directly correlates with the work our staff does; it will increase their knowledge and allow them to continually improve in their roles."

Insurance organizations that have earned the I-CAR Gold Class Professionals designation are required to achieve high levels of advanced collision repair training and to maintain ongoing training on an annual basis.

"I-CAR values its relationship with MetLife Auto & Home and is pleased to provide its staff with a training path that will help position them for continual success. The staff at MetLife Auto & Home will benefit from the vast array of role- relevant collision repair training offered by I-CAR and help them improve their ability to write more accurate claim assessments, and, ultimately, drive increased customer satisfaction," said Joyce Kasmer, I-CAR director of business development.
