SCRS Announces GYS USA as its Newest Corporate Member

GYS USA's parent company Advanced Collision Repair Solutions places a high priority on collision repair industry education and performs hands-on training with auto body technicians.

The Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) announced it has welcomed San Francisco Bay Area-based GYS USA, the importer of GYS Collision Repair Equipment, as its newest corporate member.

GYS USA’s parent company Advanced Collision Repair Solutions places a high priority on collision repair industry education and spends a great deal of time performing hands-on training with auto body technicians.

Advanced Collision Repair Solutions (ADVCRS) now offers training across the West Coast after a successful two-year pilot period in Northern California, and the company’s goal is to ultimately train technicians nationwide.

“Our training feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, from technicians and collision facility owners alike,” said GYS USA and ADVCRS CEO Oliver Woelfel. “The training masterfully blends European and American collision standards in order to provide innovative, unique and invaluable repair techniques. The most rewarding part of this training program is watching the technicians’ skills, confidence and enthusiasm blossom. Each technician is excited to apply new knowledge and continue working with cutting-edge equipment like GYS’ welding units.

“The effect of GYS coming to the United States is quite significant for the auto body repair industry. With an emphasis on R&D, hands-on training, and price advantage, GYS and Advanced Collision Repair Solutions are taking the industry by storm.”

Added SCRS Executive Director Aaron Schulenburg, “Organizations like GYS help advance the collision repairer through the obvious passion their leadership has for hands-on training. Companies who make education and industry improvement central to their mission tend to gravitate toward involvement in organizations like ours, and we couldn’t be more pleased to have such support.”
