STRANGE BUT TRUE: Twin Potato Chip Trucks Crunch on Carolina Highway

Two Frito Lay delivery trucks traveling in opposite directions recently collided on a highway in Georgetown County, South Carolina, in a fender-bender that couldn’t “eat just one” potato chip…truck. Luckily, nobody was seriously injured in the Oct. 11 accident.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported that a Frito Lay delivery truck traveling northbound on Highway 701 wasn’t able to stop in time to avoid a car in its lane that was about to make a turn, so the truck’s driver swerved to the southbound lane. At that exact moment, another Frito Lay delivery truck was driving south on the same stretch of highway. The two trucks collided nearly head-on, totaling one and damaging the front end of the other.

“It’s not something you see every day,” Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins said of the bizarre collision of twin trucks.
