WIN Announces Opening of Most Influential Women Nominations

Nominations for the prestigious Most Influential Women Awards will open on Nov. 2nd and will be accepted through Dec. 31st.

womens-industry-networkThe Women’s Industry Network (WIN) announced that nominations for the prestigious Most Influential Women Awards will open on Nov. 2nd and will be accepted through Dec. 31st. The winners will be recognized at a Most Influential Women (MIW) gala held during the 2016 WIN Educational Conference, May 2-4, 2016, at the Hilton Tampa Downtown in Tampa, Fla. Nominations of women working in any segment of the collision repair industry across the U.S. and Canada are welcomed, and WIN membership is not a requirement.

Once again, WIN has retained an independent consultant to interview those who have been nominated for the award so that WIN can remain unbiased in the selection process.

“I am honored to serve as co-chair of the MIW program for a third consecutive year and to witness firsthand how the program has evolved and grown since WIN’s acquisition,” said Margaret Knell, director of Corporate Administration at I-CAR and 2001 MIW Honoree.

Established in 1999 by AkzoNobel, the MIW program has recognized close to 85 women who have enriched the collision repair industry with their leadership, vision and commitment to excellence. WIN acquired stewardship of the MIW program in 2013 and continues to evolve the program to align with WIN’s mission to “enhance the role of women in the industry.”

The award recognizes women for their leadership in four areas: industry influence; professional accomplishments; mentoring and support for others in the collision repair industry; and for going beyond the requirements of their professional lives to give back to their communities. The 2016 nomination form can be downloaded from the WIN website.
