Fix Auto Announces Changes to Internal Insurance Services Department

Collision shop network rebrands claims solution offering; adds three employees to insurance services team.

Fix Auto has announced several changes to its internal insurance services department. Formerly Fix Full Performance Claims Solutions, the newly branded Fix Claims Solutions (FCS) functions as the single-point-of-contact for managing compliance with insurer programs across the Fix network of franchise repair centers.

“As the department evolves, so do our services and support,” said Tim Clark, Fix Auto senior vice president of insurance services. “The new name better represents the functionality of the program, and the scope of our offering.”

In addition, Fix Auto recently hired three key FCS employees. As FCS program auditors, Greg Lazarus and Gary Bagwell’s roles will encompass desk review and field reinspections – ensuring compliance with insurance company programs and store operations. In addition, they will serve in a coaching capacity, working with Fix Auto stores to drive consistent repair center operations.

Lazarus will work out of the San Diego office, primarily supporting Southern California operations. Before joining Fix Auto, he was a field representative for more than five years with Farmers Insurance.

Bagwell’s home base will be Bend, Ore. He will work primarily with the Pacific Northwest locations (Oregon and Washington), but will fill in as appropriate in each of the franchise markets. He spent more than 17 years with State Farm and, most recently, five years with American Family.

Mallory Garza will be assuming the role of FCS compliance administrator. In addition to supporting FCS agreements between stores and insurance clients, she will configure and manage a variety of FCS-specific management reports, among other functions. Prior to joining Fix Auto, Mallory worked for USAA insurance in call center operations.

“When we created the FCS charter, we specifically set about to resource it with professionals who have deep working experience with insurance companies,” said Fix Auto President and COO Paul Gange. “Beginning with Tim Clark, his existing FCS department and now with Greg, Gary and Mallory, we are building a solid internal claims department that readies our organization for true self-management that, in turn, delivers immediate value to our insurance company customers.”
