Team PRP Adds Michigan Auto Recycler to Nationwide Network

Schram Auto Parts first opened in the early 1920s and has remained a family-owned business and is now headed by the fourth generation of family members.

Team-PRP-logoTeam PRP announced that Schram Auto Parts, Inc., with locations in Waterford and Mason, Mich., has become the newest automotive recycler to join Team PRP’s nationwide network.

“We are pleased to announce another outstanding addition to our Team PRP organization, which further develops our trading and logistics network, particularly in the Great Lakes region,” said Mark Gamble, executive director of Team PRP. “With their two strategically located facilities in Michigan, Schram Auto Parts certainly strengthens our network in inventory as well as location. Both will enhance our ability to serve our repair shop customers. In addition, Schram has long been known for their focus on excellence and innovation in our industry, and Team PRP is proud to have them join with us.”

Schram Auto Parts first opened in the early 1920s and has remained a family-owned business and is now headed by the fourth generation of family members. Brothers Ken, Bob and Tom Schram are co-owners of the company. There are currently a total of 85 employees working at the two locations.

With its long history in the industry, Schram has received numerous awards and special recognitions, including a “2010 Most Influential Family in the Automotive Recycling Industry” commendation. Two members of the Schram family, Harold Schram Jr. and Ken Schram, have served as presidents of the Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA).

Recognized as one of the most progressive automotive dismantling and recycling facilities in the nation, the Mason facility covers 21 acres with more than 70,000 square feet of warehouse, and the Waterford location sits on approximately 10 acres with warehouse space of more than 42,000 square feet. Approximately 1,500 vehicles are processed annually.
