Tenth Annual Fix Auto Conference Offers Educational and Philanthropic Opportunities

Selling, insurance insight, collision repair business strategy and a donation to the Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP) of New Orleans highlight conference.

Fix Auto President and COO Paul Gange with students from KIPP of New Orleans. The 10th Annual Fix Auto Conference held in New Orleans last month provided educational content and networking opportunities for the collision repair professionals and strategic partners in attendance.

Highlights of the conference included a keynote address on selling across generations, a rare look into the insurance boardroom, and breakouts focused on aligning collision repair businesses to meet and exceed the demands of the future. Diversions such as a masquerade ball and a rooftop poolside reception helped round out the event, as did an awards ceremony honoring Fix Auto’s "best of the best."

The highlight of the program was a presentation facilitated by corporate team-building company Impact 4 Good in which participants built solar cars and raced them in a tournament-style competition.

In addition, this event benefited a local non-profit network of free, public charter schools, the Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP) of New Orleans. Not only were KIPP students allowed to participate in the competition, but the solar cars and additional kits were donated to the schools, a gifting that will help the students learn the importance of energy conservation and alternative methods of transportation.

“In addition to helping our members get to know each other better, this team-building exercise gave us a chance to make a tangible, positive impact in the community that graciously hosted our industry this year,” said Fix Auto President and COO Paul Gange. “The hands-on materials we donated will promote education in the math and sciences, subjects that are critical to our youth’s success and the ability of our nation to compete on a global scale.”
