Lewisville Motor Company Joins Team PRP Network

North Carolina recycler now part of 131-store national network.

Team PRP, the largest national network of independent auto recyclers, has added Lewisville Motor Company Inc. in Winston-Salem, N.C., to its network of 131 stores nationwide.

“Itʼs always a pleasure to welcome new members into our ever-expanding network, particularly quality facilities such as Lewisville Motor Company that demonstrates genuinely high standards,” said Kent Rothwell, chair of Team PRPʼs national board. “Their obvious commitment to excellence in the auto recycling industry, over many years, is evidence that their business will mesh perfectly with Team PRPʼs vision.”

Matt Lacy, president of the Mid-Atlantic PRP region, added, “Lewisville is a great addition to the PRP family. It’s highly regarded for their excellent customer service and quality of product. PRP is proud to partner with such a great recycler.”

Lewisville Motor Company has been in the automotive recycling industry for more than 50 years. Herbert Myers, the father of current owner Marty Myers, opened Lewisville in 1956. Marty took over the business in the early ’80s, adding the company’s first computer in 1988.

Today, the 14-acre facility employs 23 workers and remains family-run. Myersʼ wife, Donna, acts as head bookkeeper, and their son Justin is currently in charge of logistics for the company. Dismantling approximately 800 cars per year, Lewisville specializes in 2002 to current year models, dealing with everything from Kia to Rolls-Royce, as well as trucks and SUVs.

Myers expressed a great deal of pride, mentioning that Lewisville had recent inspection visits from both the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), receiving excellent reports from both organizations.
