BASF Announces 2012 ColorSource Distributor of the Year

Automotive refinish division recognizes Micro Auto Paint and Supply in Highland Park, Mich., at annual ColorSource Conference in Clearwater Beach, Fla.

The announcement was made at BASF’s annual ColorSource Conference on April 19 in Clearwater Beach, Fla.

“Micro Auto Paint and Supply has continuously achieved year over year growth in their market," said Denise Kingstrom, strategic accounts manager for BASF’s automotive refinish business in North America. "They provide excellent service and technical support to their customers, and they are also a great partner for BASF."

Micro Auto Paint and Supply is a family-owned business that began as a chrome business in 1948 and expanded in the early 1980s to include a refinish business.

“I am very humbled to receive this award from BASF," said Howard Hicks, president of Micro Auto Paint and Supply. "I work with a great team of people, and it’s because of their efforts that we were able to achieve this milestone."

Added Paul Whittleston, vice president of business management for BASF’s automotive refinish business, “We value the true partnership that BASF has developed with the ColorSource community. Our annual event was a great way to share best practices and we look forward to realizing continued growth with our partners in 2013 and beyond.”
