Transtar Autobody Technologies Appoints New President

Former vice president and controller of Meritor Brett Penzkofer in; past president Charlie Fuqua to retire in December.

Brett PenzkoferTranstar Autobody Technologies has announced the appointment of Brett Penzkofer as president. He will report to Tim Bowes, CEO of the company.

Prior to joining Transtar, Penzkofer served as vice president and controller of Meritor, a global OE and aftermarket manufacturer of axles, brakes and drivelines. He held various financial and operational positions during his seven years at Meritor and previous 15 years with Chrysler. Penzkofer received a bachelor of arts from Michigan State and an MBA from Wayne State.

In addition, Charlie Fuqua, past president, has announced his plans to retire in December 2013. Over the past 23 years, Fuqua significantly grew the company through product line expansion, establishment of the current distributor network and implementation of the company’s quality initiative, ISO 9001.

"Charlie has provided great leadership to the organization for more than two decades," said Bowes. "We’re excited that Brett has joined the Transtar team and will build upon his successes."
