WIN Photo Challenge Deadline Approaching

Organization collaborates with Collision Repair Education Foundation to create an awareness poster to showcase roles of women in the industry.

The Sept. 1 entry deadline for The Women’s Industry Network (WIN) Photo Challenge is approaching. WIN is collaborating with the Collision Repair Education Foundation to create an awareness poster to showcase the many roles of women in the industry. The poster will be distributed to more than 1,100 high school and college collision school programs across the country this fall.

Businesses and individuals in the industry are invited to submit creative photos of the women in their workforce and the unique roles they perform. Winners will be selected by committee based on photo quality, creativity and representation of the role performed.

WIN is offering a drawing for a free 2014 WIN Educational Conference registration, valued at over $400, as an added incentive. For every photo submission, one contest entry will be given to the person submitting the nomination. In addition, every business that makes a photo submission will receive a free poster.

“The photos we’ve received to date demonstrate the incredible variety of roles available within our industry," said Ruth Weniger, chair of WIN’s communications committee. "With this poster, we hope to illustrate to female students all the roles and paths open to them in the collision repair industry. We are thrilled to work with the Collision Repair Education Foundation on this exciting new awareness campaign."

Added Melissa Marscin, director of grant programs for the Collision Repair Education Foundation, “The Collision Repair Education Foundation is excited to partner with WIN on this project to showcase women within the industry to high school and college collision students. Regardless of the industry segment, female collision students will see that there are many opportunities for a successful career path."

Photo submission requirements:

  • JPG format minimum 2-megapixel, 5-megapixel or larger preferred
  • Include name, company, telephone, email and role of the person in the photo as well as the name, telephone and email of the person submitting the photo
  • Entries should be submitted to [email protected] with the subject line “Photo Challenge”
  • Deadline for submissions is Sept. 1, 2013
