Choice Autobody Repair Association to Host Parts Procurement Meeting

Meeting on Nov. 13 will feature panel discussion on parts procurement programs and other influences on the collision repair business.

The Choice Autobody Repair Association (CARA) has announced that it will be holding a meeting on parts procurement on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Cleveland – South at 6001 Rockside Rd., Independence, Ohio.
 
The meeting will take the format of a panel discussion to talk about parts procurement programs and other influences that collision repairers need to understand in order to make informed decisions about the future of their businesses.

Presenters will include:

• Erica Eversman, Vehicle Information Services, Akron, Ohio: A collision repair legal expert.

• John Mosley, Clinton Body Shop, Clinton, Miss.: Has led the way for the Mississippi injunction to block State Farm from requiring Mississippi Select Service shops to use PartsTrader.

• John Eaves, Jr., Eaves Law Firm, Jackson, Miss.: Attorney who filed suit seeking injunction in Mississippi.

• Steve Plier, Consumer Auto Repair Excellence, Hoover, Ala.: A former State Farm estimatics supervisor who works with shops to allow them to better understand State Farm’s scorecard, the prevailing rate survey and now PartsTrader.

• Frank Lanza, Highway Auto Center, Chagrin Falls, Ohio: A collision repairer who will offer firsthand experience using parts procurement systems, including PartsTrader.

• Steve Lanza, Collision Repair Agency, Richfield, Ohio: An unbiased third-party consultant encouraging industry collaboration to solve current collision repair industry issues.

CARA encourages collision repairers to ask their parts vendors to attend as well. 

Due to the limited capacity of the meeting room, there will be no walk-ins or late registration past the deadline of Nov. 8.
