uParts Reaches 100,000 Repair Estimate Milestone

Parts procurement provider says user-base of repairers and suppliers continues to grow.

uParts Inc., an independent provider of cloud-based parts procurement solutions to the collision repair industry, has announced that it has exceeded 100,000 repair estimates processed on its network. The company says its user-base of collision repairers and suppliers continues to grow with positive feedback from participants that the efficiencies gained from using uParts has resulted in  shorter repair cycle-time.

uParts offers a complete online solution connecting shops with their suppliers for order processing, status updates and communications. “As an early adopter to this solution, we have the opportunity to take cost out of the system, to be more competitive and to be the high quality, low cost repair provider,” said Erick Bickett, founder and CEO of Fix Auto USA. “I think the right procurement solution can squeeze a day and half to maybe even two days out of average cycle-time”.

Added Alex Adegan, founder and CEO of uParts, “We are thrilled by the growth in both the number of users and transaction volume on our network. Our focus from the beginning has been on efficiency in the procurement process; our platform improves performance of our shops and suppliers. The continued growth of our network is a testament to the benefits realized by repairs and suppliers.”

uParts’ open platform is available to all shops and suppliers, and there is no cost for shops to participate.

“uParts is focused on efficiency around the entire procurement process, which translates to a win for shops, suppliers, insurers and the vehicle owner,” said Michael Quinn, president of uParts. “As a former shop owner, it was imperative for me to maintain control of my decisions on suppliers – with uParts, shops are empowered to do just that.
