The Specialty Equipment Marketing Association (SEMA) has announced that 3M’s Body Protection System earned top honors in the Collision Repair and Refinish Product category of the New Products Showcase Awards.
The 3M Body Protection System helps painters spray low viscosity textured finishes with fine, medium, coarse and splattered patterns. The overall system includes the 3M Accuspray HGP Spray Gun with a pressurized inlet and 3M PPS Type H/O Mini Pressure Cup, the 3M Rocker Protector Pouch, and the 3M Paintable Undercoating Pouch.
3M claims the system acts as a tool to create greater productivity for automotive professionals by giving them the ability to adjust pressures and spray pattern, allowing for a better match to OEM textures. In addition, the company says the system cuts application time of textured finishes in half.
