Ford Approves Three PPG Clearcoats for Warranty Repair of Vehicles

"We're satisfied they will provide the excellent finish Ford vehicles require and dealers and customers expect," said Gerry Bonanni, Ford senior engineer, paint and body repair.

PPG has received approval from Ford Motor Company for use of its advanced clearcoat products for warranty repairs on all Ford vehicles. The approval was announced jointly by Kevin Loop, PPG OEM business development manager, and Gerry Bonanni, Ford senior engineer, paint and body repair.

PPG clearcoats approved by Ford include Deltron DC2000 Ultra Velocity Clearcoat, Nexa Autocolor P190-6800 HS Express Clearcoat and Envirobase High Performance EC800 Ultra Fast 2.1 Clearcoat.

“These products have all met the demanding quality and performance standards we have in place,” said Bonanni. “Before we give an OK to any product, we subject it to extensive testing to be certain it performs not just in controlled laboratory environments but also in the real world. These three PPG clearcoats have met the criteria, and we are satisfied they will provide the excellent finish Ford vehicles require and dealers and customers expect.”
