Next Sherwin-Williams EcoLean Level 1 Workshop Scheduled for San Antonio

Program designed to help collision centers incorporate lean production strategies into day-to-day operations.

Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes has announced that the next EcoLean Level 1 workshop will be held March 4-5, 2014, at the Omni La Mansion del Rio on the River Walk of San Antonio, Texas.

The EcoLean Level 1 workshops from Sherwin-Williams are offered to collision center owners and dealer managers from across the U.S. and Canada. They’re designed to educate attendees about how to maximize profitability by improving production and eliminating waste throughout their facilities.

“We aim to give our EcoLean 1 workshop attendees an extensive and comprehensive look at how they can build a lean culture in their shop from the ground up,” says Rodes Brown, manager-Global OEM and Business Consulting Services, Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes.

The EcoLean curriculum was developed specifically with collision shop operators in mind.

“Day one of the workshop exposes attendees to the logical principles necessary to begin a lean journey in their collision repair facility. On day two, attendees will see these principles come to life in a real world Toyota vehicle assembly plant," said Greg Eisenhardt, Sherwin-Williams A-Plus marketing manager. “Attendees will leave the two-day event with tangible tools to immediately increase the quality and production output of their businesses.”

The EcoLean Level 1 workshop curriculum includes:

• Principles of reducing environmental waste
• An overview of lean production and its practical application in collision repair
• Approaches to making a collision facility more efficient and consistent
• How to build a lean culture from the ground up
