Service King Honors Top Shop, Announces 2013 Morgan Award Recipient

MSO's Mesquite, Texas, location notches award for first time based on quality, referrals, on-time delivery and gross profit sales.

Service King Collision Repair Centers has announced that its Mesquite, Texas, location is the recipient of the 2013 Morgan Award. Service King hands out the award annually to the shop that receives the highest marks across four categories: quality, referrals, on-time delivery and gross profit sales.

This is the first Morgan Award win for the Mesquite location and manager Todd Novara, an eight-year Service King veteran.

"Todd Novara and his team at the Service King Mesquite location have produced extremely consistent results with industry-leading customer service,” said Brent McKinney, executive vice president of operations. “The competition for the coveted Morgan Award within our organization is extremely close, however the team at Mesquite took the award by winning five consecutive Top Shop quarterly awards."

The founder of Service King, Eddie Lennox, established the Morgan Award in 2002. Lennox named the award in honor of his former neighbor, Charles Morgan, who loaned him $10,000 in 1976 to finance opening the first Service King location in Dallas. Lennox credits Morgan for helping get Service King off the ground and believes the company wouldn’t be where it is today without his help.
