WIN Announces Keynote Speakers for 2014 Educational Conference

Renowned author Dr. Verna Cornelia Price and motivational expert Colette Carlson will focus on empowering women in the collision repair industry.

The Women’s Industry Network (WIN) has announced that Dr. Verna Cornelia Price, Ph.D. and Colette Carlson will be featured keynote speakers at its upcoming Educational Conference scheduled for May 5-7 at Paradise Point Resort & Spa in San Diego, Calif.

Dr. Price is a renowned author, motivational speaker, executive coach and educator whose accolades include the Ann Bancroft Leadership Award and the WomenVenture Pioneer Award. Her address to the WIN organization, “The Power of You,” will focus on the subject of personal power, understanding what kind of powerful person you are, how that impacts the people in your personal and work lives, and how the type of power they have impacts you. Embedded in her message are tips about how to use your personal power as an asset when working with people. For more information on Dr. Price, visit www.drvernaprice.com.

Colette Carlson is a business communication and motivational expert who engages corporations, associations and individuals worldwide in the art of speaking the truth to maximize results, revenue and relationships. “The Hard, Cold Truth – Working Hard Isn’t Working” will help conference attendees tactfully communicate successes, cultivate connections and develop strategic relationships. "We are thrilled to have the opportunity for Dr. Price and Ms. Carlson to address the WIN members at this year’s Educational Conference,” said Jessica Rob, co-chair of the Conference Planning Committee. “Their messages are in alignment with WIN’s mission; their presentations focus on personal power, masterful communication, change and positivity in the workplace."

In addition, the 2014 Educational Conference will also feature additional programming covering everything from sustainability to honing negotiation and interpersonal skills. The inaugural Most Influential Women Awards will recognize women who have been nominated by their peers as outstanding business and civic leaders. For the first time, WIN also will award tuition scholarships to applicants from both secondary and post-secondary schools. Some of those winners will be in attendance at the conference.

Registration for the event will open in early March.
