VehicleOwnersGuide.com Announces New Peer2Peer Claims Management

New product will allow participating insurers to work with any repair shop or independent appraiser without the need to dispatch an assignment to them.

VehicleOwnersGuide.com, a provider of technology, connectivity and information solutions to the property and casualty and collision repair markets, announced the release of Peer2Peer Claims Management. The new Peer2Peer Claims Management allows participating insurers to work with any repair shop or independent appraiser without the need to dispatch an assignment to them.

“Flexible, instant communications decrease cycle time by allowing direct communications to any adjustor from a repairer or an appraiser," said Bob Sandkaut, product planning for VehicleOwnersGuide.com. "This latest innovation means an insurance adjustor can instantly receive claim estimates, documents or photographs without the shop or appraiser being in their claim system.“

Peer2Peer Claims Management is a patent-pending, cloud-based solution that allows claim document packets to be created and sent directly to a claim adjustor. It’s  fully integrated within Open Claims Gateway, an open, modular, end-to-end physical damage claims management solution including dispatch, desk review, workflow management, messaging and other claims-related functions.

VehicleOwnersGuide.com claims that Peer2Peer Claims Management takes less than a minute to learn and takes less than two minutes to send claims documents and photographs to an adjustor. It’s free for repairers to use, has no training or setup fees and doesn’t require loading any software at the repairer location.

“We were aiming for three things when we engineered P2P: eliminating the constraint that insurers can only dispatch to shops or appraisers in their system, getting rid of the administrative overhead and costs shops bear in communicating with insurers, and getting repairs started as quickly as possible," said Steven Siessman, president of VehicleOwnersGuide.com. "Imagine a situation where an insured is in an accident and can go to any shop, using any estimating platform, and have documents in an adjustor’s hand in a matter of minutes so the repair can begin.“
