Caliber Collision Gifts 10 Vehicles During Summer 2014

Refurbished vehicles donated from Memorial Day through Labor Day through National Auto Body Council's Recycled Rides program.

Caliber Collision announced that it has donated 10 vehicles from Memorial Day through Labor Day as part of the National Auto Body Council’s Recycled Rides program.

Caliber teamed up with insurance partners, parts suppliers and local businesses to provide the following critical transportation for active duty servicemen, military veterans and financially challenged families:

  • Four vehicles provided by Farmers Insurance were donated to veterans in Dallas and Austin as part of the Carry the Load Memorial Day March.
  • A Honda Odyssey from Nationwide Insurance will help a veteran in Sacramento working to rebuild his life after homelessness.
  • Three vehicles from GEICO were gifted to struggling families in Tucson and Phoenix.
  • A Toyota Corolla from Esurance will help a young military family in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., with transportation for an infant daughter on daily kidney dialysis.
  • A Honda Odyssey van from Allstate Insurance will help transport low-income high school students in Tucson who are participating in a unique work-study program to help pay for their education.

“We are very proud of all our associates who have gone above and beyond their daily responsibilities to help make a difference in the lives of these families,” said Steve Grimshaw, CEO of Caliber Collision. “Caliber’s purpose is to restore the rhythm of our customers’ lives, and we appreciate the opportunity to team up with our industry colleagues to help restore a sense of hope and freedom for families through the Caliber Recycled Rides program.”

Caliber Collision’s continued growth and expansion in new markets provides increased opportunities for even more Recycled Rides. The company plans on gifting more than 20 vehicles in the next year to military and first responders as a way to give back to the communities that Caliber serves.
