The Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA) announced that professional automotive recyclers and automotive industry executives from more than 10 countries so far have registered to attend ARA’s upcoming 71st Annual Convention and Exposition to be held Oct. 22-25, 2014, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn.
“We are excited to welcome attendees from around the globe,” said ARA President Ed MacDonald. “Automotive recycling business owners and our automotive industry partners recognize that ARA’s Annual Convention and Exposition is the premier event of the automotive recycling industry, and we are looking forward to showing them everything that our program has to offer.”
Attendees are expected from as far away as New Zealand, the Netherlands, Japan, Estonia and the Russian Federation.
“One of the greatest attractions for international attendees are our top-notch educational sessions,” said ARA CEO Michael E. Wilson. “This year’s educational and training program is focused on seven key areas: business management, future technology, operations, profitability, salesmanship, sustainability and global perspectives.”
Other highlights will include tours of Nissan North America’s manufacturing plant, 12 hours of Exposition with more than 100 exhibitors, a networking breakfast for the Ladies of the Automotive Recyclers Association, and the Annual Awards Dinner and Presidential Gavel Passing.
