Louisiana Collision Industry Association to Host Fundraiser for AG Buddy Caldwell

The Louisiana Collision Industry Association (LaCIA) invites collision repairers to show their support for Louisiana Attorney General James D. “Buddy” Caldwell Saturday, Nov. 22 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Lafayette, La.

On Aug. 19, 2014, Caldwell filed suit against State Farm alleging that the insurer has engaged in a pattern of unfair and fraudulent business practices aimed at controlling the auto repair industry and forcing unsafe repairs on vehicles without the knowledge or consent of Louisiana consumers.

“For nearly eight years, Attorney General Caldwell has stood up for small business and worked to level the playing field so we may all compete, raise our families in safe communities and grow our business,” said LaCIA in a statement.

The fundraiser will take place at The Hall, located at 517 East Gloria Switch Road. The cost to attend is $500 per couple, with a maximum contribution of $5,000 per person or entity. Checks should be made payable to The Committee to Re-Elect Attorney General James D. “Buddy” Caldwell.
