Mike Rose’s Auto Body Donates Vehicle to Military Member in Need

Staff Sgt. Kyle Pearson of Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, Calif., receives refurbished Hyundai Sonata through the collision company's Benevolence Program.

Mike Rose’s Auto Body presented a staff sergeant from Travis Air Force Base (AFB) in Fairfield, Calif., and his family with a refurbished Hyundai Sonata on Veterans Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11 at the company’s Fairfield location.

Staff Sgt. Kyle Pearson will now be able to get to and from his duty at Travis AFB, as well as get his 6-year-old son, Brandon, to the medical specialists he needs at Stanford and get his 8-year-old daughter, Jenna, to and from school, thanks to this refurbished vehicle. In addition, the Rose family gave the Pearson family one year of insurance coverage and a trunk full of gifts for the children.

Mike Rose’s Auto Body Benevolence Program is a “community give-back program” with the mission of presenting cars to deserving individuals or organizations during the holiday season. Everything is donated, including the cars, parts, paint, mechanical inspections, tires and one full year of insurance. The body and paint technicians at Mike Rose’s Auto Body donate their time and skills to turn these cars into pristine, “new” used vehicles.

With 13 locations in the Bay Area, the company has been participating in the program for the last 13 years. With this year’s 42nd anniversary, the collision repair company has donated 46 cars to the community. Mike Rose’s Auto Body will be presenting six fully refurbished vehicles to people and families in need this year, with a second presentation to take place at their Antioch location in December.

This year, Mike Rose’s Auto Body partnered with the Vintage Valley Blue Star Moms of Solano County, Travis AFB and GEICO during Veterans Day.

“It has been so rewarding over the last 13 years presenting the cars to deserving families and single parents who are working to improve their skills and become independent,” said Mike Rose, owner. “We feel very honored to be able to do this, and we will continue to do this as long as I am still around.”
