Honoring women in the collison repair industry

Most Influential Women Nomination Deadline Approaching

Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014 is the last day to nominate a woman working in the collision repair industry who has enriched the industry with their leadership, vision and commitment to excellence.

The Women’s Industry Network (WIN) will be accepting nominations for the Most Influential Women (MIW) Awards through Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014. Women working in any segment of the collision repair industry are eligible. Nominees will be interviewed prior to selection by Russell Long, president of Change Innovations, an independent third-party consultant secured by WIN. Membership is not a requirement for nomination.

The Most Influential Women award recognizes women who have enriched the collision repair industry with their leadership, vision and commitment to excellence.

“It is reassuring that so many women continue to make significant contributions within our industry, and it is important that they are recognized for the support and inspiration they provide,” said Frederica Carter, president of F. Carter Events and 2014 MIW Honoree. “If there is a woman within your organization or someone you know in the industry who fits this description, I encourage you to submit a nomination form for consideration today.”

Nomination forms may be downloaded from the WIN website.

The winners will be recognized at a gala held during the 2015 WIN Educational Conference, May 4-6, 2015 at the Baltimore Waterfront Marriott, Baltimore, Md. MIW honorees will have the opportunity to invest in the future of collision repair by mentoring WIN Scholarship winners who are continuing their education as they aspire to find a career in the industry.

WIN’s mission is to “enhance the role of women in the collision repair industry.” More than 80 women since 1998 have been recognized through the MIW program for their professional accomplishments and for going beyond the requirements of their positions to give back to their communities.

“Receiving the MIW in 2008 was both an honor and a humbling experience,” said Denise Caspersen, project manager with National Autobody Parts Warehouse and current WIN chair. “The MIW award goes beyond the label and affords the recipient the opportunity to be a mentor and lead by example.”
