Florida TV Station Spotlights Body Shops’ Federal Suit Against Insurers

Video features an unhappy vehicle owner and Ray Gunder, owner of Gunder's Auto Center and one of the plaintiffs in the suit, pointing out the faults in how the vehicle was repaired by a DRP shop.

WFTS Tampa Bay ABC Action News ran a story on Jan. 29 on the federal lawsuit involving 400 body shops across the country and some of the largest auto insurers in the country who they accuse of taking shortcuts and authorizing unsafe repairs.

The TV station produced a video featuring an unhappy vehicle owner and Ray Gunder, owner of Gunder’s Auto Center and one of the plaintiffs in the suit, pointing out the faults in how the vehicle was repaired by a DRP shop. The station then turned the video into a news story as well which they posted to their website with the headline, “Body Shops Around the Country Are Suing Big Insurance Companies Over Dangerous Car Repairs.”
