GEICO Donates $100,000 to Collision Repair Education Foundation

Contribution will allow foundation to offer grants and scholarships to students attending career and technical schools.

The GEICO Philanthropic Foundation has made a $100,000 donation to the Collision Repair Education Foundation. The foundation states that GEICO’s contribution benefits the entire industry as it enhances the foundation’s ability to offer grants and scholarships to career and technical schools and colleges and the students attending these schools.

“GEICO is excited to make this contribution to the Collision Repair Education Foundation to aid its mission of supporting students and educational institutions that develop highly-trained collision repair technicians to meet the changing needs of the industry,” said Ryan West, GEICO’s vice president of claims.

Added Collision Repair Education Foundation Executive Director Clark Plucinski, “GEICO has been a longstanding supporter and partner with the Collision Repair Education Foundation in recognizing the fact that collision school programs are in need of support in order to graduate properly trained students for industry employment. To receive this incredible donation to start off 2015 will bring our organization to another level. I cannot thank GEICO enough for the support, and would encourage other industry members to follow GEICO’s lead in working together with the Collision Repair Education Foundation.”
