Collision Repair Education Foundation’s Golf Fundraiser Almost Sold Out

Non-attending industry members encouraged to participate in helicopter golf ball drop and win up to $12,000.

Registration for the Collision Repair Education Foundation’s 14th annual summer golf fundraiser, taking place July 22, 2015 in Detroit, has almost sold out and “early bird” pricing is available until March 31st. Golfers will enjoy a round of golf at the Arnold Palmer-designed Northville Hills Golf Club and can register online. This fundraiser takes place in conjunction with the NACE and Collision Industry Conference (CIC) industry meetings being held that week in Detroit, and funds raised through this event assist the Education Foundation in providing support to collision repair students and their school’s collision programs.

In addition to several contest holes, one industry member has the opportunity to win up to $12,000 through the LORD Corporation-sponsored helicopter golf ball drop that will take place as part of the event. Golfers or nongolfers can purchase golf balls online ($20 per ball) that will be dropped from a helicopter over a hole on the Northville Hills Golf Club course the day of the event. Whoever sponsors the numbered golf ball that goes in the hole (or the closest to the pin) will win 50% of the total funds raised from the golf ball drop. Participants do not need to be present to win, and if all 1,200 golf balls are sold the winner will be awarded $12,000.

Early-bird individual player registration is $225 per person ($900 foursome team) before April 1, 2015 and $300 per person ($1,200 foursome team) after April 1, 2015. Registration includes 18 holes of golf, cart rental, complimentary beverages/snacks on the course, lunch, dinner, attendee promotional items and the opportunity to participate in several contests on the course. For those attendees who will be traveling into Detroit to attend industry meetings that week, complimentary transportation will be provided to and from the industry events to the golf course.

Those interested in registering, sponsoring and/or participating with the golf ball drop fundraiser should contact Director of Development Brandon Eckenrode at [email protected] or call (847) 463-5244.
