PMCLogic to Give Presentation at AASP/NJ Northeast Show

PMCLogic to Conduct Presentation at the AASP/NJ Northeast Show

Presentation will feature information on getting paid equitably for paint and materials by presenting an honest, accurate and transparent document to the vehicle owner, or their insurer.

ComputerLogic, Inc. announced it will conduct a presentation on “How to Get Paid Equitably for Paint and Materials” on March 20th at the AASP/NJ 38th Annual Northeast 2015 Automotive Services Show at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, N.J.

The presentation will feature information on getting paid equitably for P&Ms by presenting an honest, accurate and transparent (HAT) document to the vehicle owner, or their insurer. In addition, a demonstration of ComputerLogic’s newest version of PMCLogic will show how quickly and easily a repair shop can accurately calculate their actual cost and invoice price for paint and materials, based off of the vehicle’s repair estimate as documented by the Mitchell, CCC or AudaExplore estimating systems. The presentation will take place Friday evening at 5:15 p.m. at the trade show demonstration area (booth no. 423).

Richard Palmer, president and CEO of ComputerLogic, will discuss how PMCLogic is different from any other paint and materials estimating program in the market today and explain how proper (HAT) documentation can be used to overcome objections that insurance companies may raise concerning properly paying for the cost of P&Ms that were actually used in the repair process.

“We are pleased to have the opportunity to share with all parties in the collision repair industry why it is in everyone’s best interest to change from the old methodology of paying for P&Ms (refinish hours multiplied by an arbitrary dollar amount) to a more honest, accurate and transparent method,” said Palmer. “To help make this possible and practical, we will demonstrate our newest version of PMCLogic (HAT) to both repairers and insurers during this year’s AASP/NJ Northeast 2015 Show.

“It is important that all parties in the collision repair industry who are working toward eliminating ‘friction cost’ be aware of the fact that there is a better alternative to the current method for payment of P&Ms, which virtually everyone acknowledges as unfair, antiquated and needs to be changed. The good news is that many insurance companies are currently paying off of P&M invoices and the number of these insurers is growing every month.”

Added Charles Bryant, executive director of AASP/NJ, “Paint and material’s compensation has been, and still is, a very important issue for the collision repair industry. We’re very pleased that ComputerLogic will share their many years of experience and knowledge in getting paid properly for paint and materials with the Northeast Automotive Service Show attendees. Shops should take advantage of the opportunity to look at PMCLogic during the trade show and, afterwards, start using it in lieu of the old ‘allowance amount’ methodology. It’s time to change that old paradigm.”

Parties who are not able to attend the presentation at the AASP/NJ Northeast 2015 Automotive Services Show can also visit PMCLogic at booth no. 649 during show hours or click here for more information.
