Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes Partners with Toyota for Estimator Training Program

In-depth workshops, to be held in Phoenix on Aug. 26th and Dallas on Sept. 22nd, comprise real-world estimating scenarios and industry-specific issues pertaining to body shop operations and insurer relations.

Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. and Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes have announced the 2015 schedule for the annual Toyota Certified Collision Center estimating program, with Sherwin-Williams continuing as one of the facilitators for the program’s training workshops. Conducted through the University of Toyota, the workshops will be held in Phoenix, August 26th and Dallas, September 22nd.

“Our Gulf States Toyota shops that have participated in the Estimating Solutions for Profit classes have averaged better than a $150 increase in their repair order value,” said Travis Rice, manager of collison operations for Gulf States Toyota.

Added Jeff Hilton, wholesale parts and collision manager – parts and service marketing, Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc., “Sherwin-Williams continues to be a great partner by offering comprehensive training to the University of Toyota and our Certified Collision Centers.”

The workshop, B005 Collision Repair Estimating, comprises real-world estimating scenarios and industry-specific issues pertaining to body shop operations and insurance company relations. Attendees who participate in this estimating program will get hands-on experience with the techniques, skills and information necessary to write and negotiate more accurate (and profitable) estimates.

“This is our 14th year conducting the collision repair estimating workshops, and they have proven to enhance both estimators’ and shop managers’ skills in all areas of writing accurate and profitable repair estimates,” said Steve Feltovich, manager of Business Consulting Services for Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes.
