Enterprise Recognizes Axalta Business Council Members with Best Length of Rental Awards

Awards go to Daren Pierse and John Bock from Axalta Business Council member Arizona Collision Specialists LLC and Kris and Becky Goodrich of Goodrich Auto Works.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car recognized two outstanding collision repair centers with its 2014 Best Length of Rental (LOR) Awards. Presented during a special joint meeting at Enterprise’s global headquarters in St. Louis, the two recipients are both members of Axalta Business Councils, which promote an environment where collision repair professionals can share best practices and further develop their business management skills.

The recipients were determined based on Enterprise’s Automated Rental Management System (ARMS) data, which tracks how long a replacement vehicle is rented to collision center customers and is considered a proxy for vehicle repair time. Daren Pierse and John Bock from Axalta Business Council member Arizona Collision Specialists LLC received the first award, earning the lowest LOR among multi-shop operators. The second award went to Kris and Becky Goodrich of Goodrich Auto Works for the lowest LOR among Axalta Business Council single-shop operators.

“When you can get a customer into their repaired vehicle faster, this helps gain their trust and significantly helps collision repair centers maintain growth for the long-term,” said Frank LaViola, assistant vice president of collision industry relations at Enterprise Rent-A-Car and an advising member of Axalta Business Councils. “Arizona Collision Specialists and Goodrich Auto Works have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to expediting the vehicle repair process, which has helped them build strong relationships with customers and insurance partners alike.”

Axalta first launched the Business Council program as part of an ongoing leadership development strategy to provide service offerings for its customers. Today, Axalta supports 15 different Business Councils that are attended by collision repair professionals from around the country. Each quarter, Axalta hosts Business Council meetings led by Mike Anderson of Collision Advice that are designed to provide members with leadership skills training to help improve shop efficiency, enhance profitability and share best practices.

“Collision repair centers across the country are increasingly seeking new ways to reduce cycle time, which is why length of rental has become one of the most important performance metrics in the industry,” said Matt Robertson, Axalta Coating Systems core collision business director. “Enterprise has been a valuable partner in helping our Business Council members identify and manage turnaround times.”
