At the Expo, BASF, located in booth no. 508, will highlight its R-M Onyx HD basecoat system. Onyx HD allows collision shops and dealerships to refinish vehicles through a single product line that can be used to create a low-VOC solventborne or waterborne finish.

“BASF provides our collision repair customers with products, support and training solutions that not only help streamline their shop processes and generate maximum profitability but also deliver the very best in quality and color technology,” said Paul Whittleston, vice president, BASF Coatings Solutions. “The 2015 focus of the NACE | CARS Expo is a natural fit for BASF, aligning with our commitment to help our customers succeed in our rapidly changing industry.”

The award-winning 1965 Chevy Impala, Impostor, created by Chip Foose, will be located in the BASF booth. The Impostor features a custom paint color, Impostor Pearl Dark and Impostor Pearl Light from BASF’s Glasurit 90 Line.

In addition, the G3 Rods’, T-Rex, will be featured on the show floor and is painted with Glasurit 55 Line in a custom green color. The vehicle debuted at Goodguys Rod & Custom Association Nationals event July 11th and was named one of the top five for Street Machine of the Year.

For the fourth year in a row, BASF is sponsoring the MSO Symposium, held in conjunction with NACE | CARS, on July 23rd.

“Our strategic account managers will be on hand to help MSOs take their performance to the next level,” said Whittleston.
