Service King No. 3 Among Fastest Growing Dallas-Fort Worth Middle-Market Companies

The announcement came Oct. 8th as part of the Dallas Business Journal's inaugural Middle Market 50 issue highlighting the top 50 fastest growing middle-market public and private companies in the North Texas area.

Dallas-Journal-Service-KingService King Collision Repair Centers announced it was officially tabbed by the Dallas Business Journal as the third-fastest growing middle-market business in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The announcement came Oct. 8th as part of the publication’s inaugural Middle Market 50 issue. The Middle Market 50 listing highlights the top 50 fastest growing middle-market public and private companies in the North Texas area based on a weighted growth index from 2012 to 2014.

With headquarters in Richardson, Texas, Service King traces its roots back to west Dallas, where founder Eddie Lennox opened the company’s first collision repair center in 1976. Today, Service King operates more than 250 repair facilities in 23 states across the U.S. Much of Service King’s exponential growth has occurred in the last five years.

“Service King’s growth is a direct reflection of the hard work and passion of our teammates,” said Chris Abraham, Service King CEO. “We’re proud of our heritage as a Dallas-based organization, and our teammates across the company take great pride in delivering the greatest level of service in the business.”

In 2014, global investment and advisory group Blackstone officially acquired a majority stake in Service King, which has fueled its expansion across the U.S. The Carlyle Group previously held majority ownership after investing in the company in 2012.

The Dallas Business Journal previously named Service King the No. 1 Best Place to Work in June. Service King and its teammates will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the company in 2016.
