The Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) announced it has welcomed Lafayette, Colo.-based KPA, a service provider for collision repairers and dealerships, as its newest corporate member.
The Inc. 5000 member is the latest to join the group of companies supporting SCRS’ mission to “educate, inform and represent the collision repair professional throughout all segments of the industry.”
“KPA is honored to join the Society of Collision Repair Specialists and looks forward to working with their other members in the months ahead,” said Vane Clayton, president and CEO of KPA. “This membership is especially exciting for our team as KPA continues to grow our collision services and expand our software offerings and consultation services to support our collision clients’ needs.”
SCRS’ mission to educate, inform and represent is matched by KPA’s own in that the company helps clients achieve regulatory compliance, control risk, protect assets, and effectively manage employees in areas such as environmental health, safety and HR management.
“Our Environmental Health & Safety solutions help over 800 collision centers manage waste and air quality issues, protect their employees from respiratory hazards, save money on workers’ compensation premiums, and decrease the time typically required by managers to train employees in the areas of safety and compliance,” said Eric Schmitz, KPA Environmental Health & Safety Product vice president.
KPA and the National Automobile Dealers Association also supported the collision repair industry this year with a joint silica dust study. That research, showing that body shop workers aren’t in significant danger from fine silica particles, might persuade federal officials that the industry deserves an exemption from expanded federal scrutiny.
